Straight needles (or a circular needle worked back and forth) in your gauge size; a tapestry needle.

20 stitches × 30 rows = 10 cm in the body stitch, after blocking.

Work 12 rows in garter stitch (knit every row) over all stitches.

RS row: 6 sts in garter stitch, knit 38 sts, 6 sts in garter stitch. WS row: 6 sts in garter stitch, purl 38 sts, 6 sts in garter stitch. Repeat these 2 rows for 522 rows in all.
