  • Straight needles (or a circular needle worked back and forth) in your gauge size; a tapestry needle.

18 stitches × 22 rows = 10 cm in the body stitch, after blocking.

Work 8 rows in garter stitch (knit every row) over all stitches.

Body

RS row: 5 sts in garter stitch, knit 34 sts, 5 sts in garter stitch. WS row: 5 sts in garter stitch, purl 34 sts, 5 sts in garter stitch. Repeat these 2 rows for 382 rows in all.

Top border

Work 8 rows in garter stitch (knit every row) over all stitches.
