  • 40 cm circular needle (shorter than the cowl’s circumference) in your gauge size; a ; a tapestry needle.

16 stitches × 24 rows = 10 cm in the body stitch, after blocking.

92 stitches. Join in the round without twisting; place a beginning-of-round .

Work 10 rounds in 2×2 rib (*k2, p2*).

Next round, knit, adjusting the stitch count: *k44, k2tog* 2 times. You now have 90 stitches.

Body

Knit every stitch for 41 rounds.

Top border

Next round, knit, adjusting the stitch count: *k45, M1L* 2 times. You now have 92 stitches.

Work 10 rounds in 2×2 rib (*k2, p2*).
