156 stitches. Join in the round without twisting; place a beginning-of-round .

Work 13 rounds in 2×2 rib (*k2, p2*).

Next round, knit, adjusting the stitch count: k156, M1L. You now have 157 stitches.

Body

Knit every stitch for 54 rounds.

Top border

Next round, knit, adjusting the stitch count: k155, k2tog. You now have 156 stitches.

Work 13 rounds in 2×2 rib (*k2, p2*).
