Materials

  • Yarn: Rowan · Felted Tweed Chunky, about 95 m.
  • 40 cm circular needle (shorter than the cowl’s circumference) in your gauge size; a ; a tapestry needle.

11 stitches × 14 rows = 10 cm in the body stitch, after blocking.

Bottom border

64 stitches. Join in the round without twisting; place a beginning-of-round .

Work 6 rounds in 2×2 rib (*k2, p2*).

Next round, knit, adjusting the stitch count: *k30, k2tog* 2 times. You now have 62 stitches.

Body

Knit every stitch for 24 rounds.

Top border

Next round, knit, adjusting the stitch count: *k31, M1L* 2 times. You now have 64 stitches.

Work 6 rounds in 2×2 rib (*k2, p2*).
